Issues and programs: Communication
Goats on the move
Goats on the move is a quarterly eNewsletter designed to provide Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) members and goat industry participants with information about the latest developments within MLA goat programs and the Australian goatmeat industry.
The Goats on the move eNewsletter is a useful free information source for those interested in the goat meat industry.
National goat industry communication network
MLA coordinates a national goat industry communication network that facilitates communication between various groups that contribute to the Australian goat meat industry.
The network includes where possible:
- Producers
- Processors
- Exporters
- Agents
- Retailers
The network provides a forum for the goat industry to share information about what is happening in their area. Opportunities and events to promote the goat industry and contribute to building the supply capacity of the goat meat industry is a key focus of the network.
The Going into goats: Profitable producers’ best practice guide was developed to encourage best practice and attract new entrants to the goat industry. This guide is central to the operation of the network.
